As everyone is aware due to the Covid-19 Virus all shows are cancelled for the foreseeable future but the boys are still enjoying their walks in the field.
But we would like to introduce our puppy!
Dustin has been busy siring some beautiful puppies and we were fortunate to bring home one of our own, Rory (Ryazan Viceroy of Radost at Menigma) who is also co-owned by Lynda Cattoni Sarman (USA).
Our last show before the Virus was CRUFTS 2020. We are very excited to say we were awarded the DOG CC with JJ. Judged by breed specialist Mrs Chris Mayers who we can never thank enough, expertly handled by Katie our daughter.
Firstly a little about us. We live in the South West of England on the edge of Exeter, Devon. I have kept dogs as pets all my life starting with German Shephards.
I met my first Borzoi in 1975 and fell in love with the breed. In 1990 I was lucky to be given my first Borzoi "Spider" by Chris and Colin Mayers, Tcheria Borzoi. In 1991 I met my husband John who's only experience of dogs was the farm labs he grew up with, so I quickly introduced him to the world of Borzoi and showing, early mornings, long distances & missing Grand Prix etc.
We currently have 5 Borzoi and 2 Dachshunds and am pleased to so after many years of learning the Breed we have been lucky enough to experience great success with our one and only Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma "Jester". Quickly followed by his kennel mate Chance (Ch. Almanor Take A Chance at Menigma).
We were very lucky that when Jester left us, he left a litter on the ground and a bitch in whelp which has lead to us starting our next generation and new journey with his sons, JJ (Ch. Ujay Kalinow at Mengima JW Shcm) and Phoenix (Coverdale's Volcanus At Menigma). We are lucky to have the fabulous temperament of our Jester in both boys and that all our boys are brilliant in this way.
Dustin (Korsakov Radost Power of Love at Menigma) has done incredibly well for such a young dog and we are so excited to have his son, Rory (Ryazan Viceroy of Radost at Menigma) join the family and we are experiencing all the joys and destruction of having a puppy in the house again. The door mats are the current focus of all this fun and he really loves playing with all the others especially his dad.
Our Dachshunds are luke (Standard Wire) and Leon (Mini Long) neither of them have been heavily campaigned as they prefer the top of the sofa and tell the big boys off in the field. They are both veterans now as is our Gino (Horse and Hound Bellagio at Menigma) but don't be fooled Leon runs the house hold. Demanding his 11pm Snack, but its got to be my husband that gives it.... Rory has got him well under the thumb already!
